Ed Campbell -
Hand Analyst
That's right folks, I look at the hand and analyze character, life events and other
interesting aspects. If you are not familiar with the practice, I can recommend my book, The
Encyclopedia of Palmistry. It is currently out of print in North America but is available throughout the English speaking world, in the U.K. and Commonwealth
through Robert Hale, Ltd. There is a correction sheet for the North American edition available
on this site. Click here for the Errata sheet.
Background
I came to palmistry as a skeptic. I did the work to qualify as a serious palmist. I now have taught courses in the field and lectured and read read hands for the last quarter of a century throughout North America (U.S. and Canada), in China, Egypt, and Taiwan. . I am a scientific palmist as the term is understood in the field. I invite all of those skeptics to read one of my latest works on the field and become introduced to the scientific study of hand appearances, called dermatoglyphics. Check here to go to A HISTORY OF DERMATOGLYPHICS, PALMISTRY & CHARACTER IDENTITY. I have helped establish the International Behavioral & Medical Biuometrics Society (www.ibmbs.com)
Current Projects
I am currently conducting research on a psychological assessment tool based upon dermatoglyphics and hand analysis and hope to publish the statistical results of this study in 2008. I am also studying the behavioral and medical significance of the visible vascular changes in the palms and will present my second paper on that subject at the IMBMS conference in Budapest on August 19, 20 and 21, 2007.
Palmistry Column
I also write of Palmistry for the lighter side and do a column appropriate for the coffee
break type page section of the daily newspaper. It can be expanded and tailored with more art
work for a regular magazine feature. Samples of that column will be featured on this site so
check here. Here are several types of hands: See for example Water Hand, Earth Hand, Air Hand, Fire Hand and Variations in Hand Shape.
I am also available for private consultations, demonstrations, lectures, seminars, workshops and entertaining events. For may years I taught Palmistry at the Experimental College of the Associated Students of the University of Washington at Seattle, Washington for a decade and now have about a quarter of a century experience in the files (backed up by over 40 years experience as a lawyer)..
